When the following symptoms occur, it is recommended to call 120 and go to the hospital immediately. The patient should not drive to the hospital. The first symptom is pain. The earliest symptom of myocardial infarction in a patient is pain. It usually occurs in the early morning, with no obvious cause. The duration of the symptom varies from a few hours to a few days. The second symptom is systemic fever. It mainly results from the absorption of necrotic substances. The fever generally appears in one to two days after the pain symptom and lasts for about a week. Nausea, vomiting, and upper abdominal pain follows afterwards. Patients may experience recurrent nausea, vomiting, and upper abdominal pain. Hypotension and shock are mainly characterized by unresponsiveness, dark complexion, sweating at the forehead, neck and extremities, low skin temperature and low urine output.
Here are some first-aid measures for MI. First, let the patient stabilize the emotion, rest quietly, and avoid moving the patient. It is advised to choose a position that is comfortable for the patient, ensuring smooth breathing and adequate blood supply to the brain. The patient could inhale some oxygen if there are the necessary equipment. The patient should not take medicine indiscriminately. For example, nitroglycerin may accelerate death. It is necessary to call the emergency number 120 and get ready for CPR.
