Self-heating foods use the heat generated by chemical reactions to heat food. There is no uniform standard in terms of usage amount and methods. Especially when buying inferior goods, it is easy to cause burns or serious consequences such as explosions due to improper operation.
Here are some first-aid methods for accidental burns: After being burned, it is suggested to rinse the skin with cold water immediately, or soak the burnt limb in clean cold water until the pain and burning sensation disappear. If you hurt the trunk or other parts, cold compresses can be used to relieve pain and prevent the injury from worsening. The clothes worn during the burning should be removed after rinsed with cold water, or carefully removed with scissors. After rinsing with water, it is necessary apply a scald unguent to the burned area. Toothpaste, soy sauce and other folk remedies are not helpful and may cause infection. It is not advised to squeeze the blisters when there are those in the second degree burn. When the blisters are too large, you can use a sewing needle (disinfected by 75% alcohol) to puncture the base of the blisters and slowly release the blister fluid, but avoid cutting off the epidermis.
If the burned area is too large or there is redness and inflammation, etc., you should seek medical attention immediately or call 120 for treatment.
