Municipal Health Commission Held a Celebration Event for “5.12” International Nurses Day and Nursing Work Conference of 2019

On May 10, 2019, the Municipal Health Commission held a celebration event for “5.12” International Nurses Day and Nursing Work Conference of 2019 at the China Science and Technology Hall. More than 550 people from the Municipal Health Commission, Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Municipal Administration of Hospitals, Peking University Medical Department, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, some representatives of Municipal People's Congress, Nightingale Medal winners and district health and family planning committees, as well as leaders and nurse representatives of municipal secondary and tertiary hospitals, Beijing Nursing Association, Beijing Nursing Workers Association attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the revision of the management procedures for nurses' practice registration was introduced, and the pilot project of “Internet + Nursing Services” in Beijing was deployed. The model hospitals, demonstration units of hospitals-community linkage and advanced individuals of quality nursing services of 2018 were commended and presented with honorary certificates. The Fuwai Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Beijing Tongren Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University have exchanged experiences as model hospitals of quality nursing services.
Deputy Director Zhang Hua affirmed the achievements of the nursing work in Beijing in his speech, and expressed his heartful greetings and thanks to nursing workers on behalf of the Municipal Health Commission. Zhang Hua stressed that the health system of Beijing should implement the requirements of the municipal government on health work conscientiously in accordance with the deployment of the health work conference of 2019. He put forward specific requirements for the next step of nursing work. First, the health departments at all levels and hospital administrators should further improve the emphasis and commitment on nursing. Second, we must further strengthen the construction of nursing teams and broaden the space for the development of nurses' career. Third, we must do a good job in the construction of nursing connotation, so that quality nursing services can be further developed in depth. The fourth is to strengthen overall planning and establish a nursing service system with high-quality and efficiency. The fifth is to make good preparation for comprehensive reform for medical consumables and improve medical services continuously.
