Meeting for Tuberculosis Prevention and Control of Beijing of 2018 was Held

On the morning of March 15th, the Beijing Municipal Health Commission organized the Meeting for Tuberculosis Prevention and Control of Beijing, and the leaders and related personnel of health and family planning commission of the 16 districts of the city attended the meeting. At the meeting, the Beijing Research Institute for Tuberculosis Control deployed the city's tuberculosis prevention and control work in 2019 combined with the work in 2018. Beijing Chest Hospital and Research Institute for Tuberculosis Prevention of Changping District exchanged ideas from the management of designated hospital and the professional role of the district-level tuberculosis prevention and control institutions. The meeting was presided over by the Director of the Department of Disease Control and Prevention of the Municipal Health Commission, Liu Qinghua, and the Deputy Inspector Liu Zejun attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
In his speech, Deputy Inspector Liu Zejun fully affirmed the achievements of the tuberculosis prevention and treatment work in 2018, expressed gratitude for the hard work of the staff at the frontline of tuberculosis prevention and control, and put forward specific requirements for the future work. First, it is necessary to do a good job in tuberculosis prevention and control at a political level. The second is to make systematic planning from system construction to mechanism operation, from policy support to team security. The third is to strengthen the quality control of tuberculosis prevention and control in the city, improve the adjustment of designated hospitals for diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, and establish municipal-level expert groups to carry out quality control and process management of tuberculosis prevention and control throughout the city. The fourth is to strengthen the overall management of BCG. The fifth is to speed up the pilot of rapid diagnostic technology with molecular biology and implement the indicators of the 13th Five-Year Plan for tuberculosis prevention and treatment.
