Provincial Health Bureau of Istanbul Visited Beijing

On December 11, 2018, Zheng Jinpu, deputy inspector of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, met with Professor Kemir Mujhib, the head of the Provincial Health Bureau of Istanbul.

Deputy Inspector Zheng Jinpu welcomed the delegation and introduced the key work carried out by the medical and health system in the city. The two sides have exchanged views on medical development of traditional Chinese medicine, current medical insurance system, maternal and child health care, preventive medicine and public health services. This is the first visit of the Provincial Health Bureau after it officially signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation with Beijing Municipal Health Commission and the in September 2017. The two sides further confirmed the relevant contents of the cooperation in the memorandum and reached a consensus to promote the cooperation in the field of health of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Director Kemir Mujhib expressed his gratitude to the Municipal Health Commission for their warm reception. He believed that he has gained valuable experience, formed a profound friendship with our commission and had a good impression in this trip. He said that this trip provided reference for the construction of the hospitals in Istanbul. He looked forward to a broader cooperation and fruitful results in the future.

The persons in charge of the International Cooperation Office and the Science and Education Department of Beijing Municipal Health Commission, the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Beijing Children's Hospital attended the meeting.

During his stay in Beijing, the delegation also visited the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing Children's Hospital, Beijing Municipal Center for Diseases Control and Prevention, and the Donghuashi Community Health Service Center, and other medical and public health institutions in the city. After the on-the-spot visits and exchanges, the experts from the Turkish highly praised the achievements of the health industry in the city.
