BMHC Held a Training Course on the Research Capabilities of the Medical Institutions and Special Ethics & Intellectual Property of Researches on the Development of the Health Sector in Beijing

In order to improve the quality of clinical research projects in the medical and health institutions of the capital, standardize project management, and promote the output of research results, the Beijing Municipal Health Commission organized a series of training courses. On November 9th, following the project implementation and training course on quality control, a training course was held on the research capabilities of the medical and health institutions and the special ethics and intellectual property of the research on the development of the health sector in Beijing. More than 370 people including responsible staff of scientific research management from health and family planning commissions of all districts, responsible persons of scientific research management departments of each project undertaker, leaders and key members of the project of 2018 and other chiefs of scientific management departments of other third-party medical institutions participated in the training.

Liu Bing, the Vice President of the magazine Chinese Medical Association was invited to the meeting to explain the specifications of scientific research design and paper report. Li Hongying, associate researcher of the First Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou University carried out a case study on the ethical issues that researchers should pay attention to in clinical research. Professor Guan Jian of Peking Union Medical College Hospital introduced the protection and utilization of intellectual property rights in medical research. Deputy Director Jiang Xue of the Research Department of the Third Hospital of Peking University Hospital shared the transfer and transformation of the results of their research.

Director Song Mei of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission emphasized that ethics and intellectual property management plays an important role in clinical research. Due to its particularity and complexity, he hope that all units will attach great importance to the scientific management and support of project implementation. The project leader should focus on improving the research specifications and implementation quality while ensuring the achievement of research objectives.

In the next step, management and requirements in terms of research process, research quality, data sharing, scientific and technological achievements, and research credit will be strengthened in the first special project in 2018.
