Family health workers refer to family members who have mastered more knowledge and skills in prevention and treatment of chronic diseases and can carry out family health education, healthy living guidance, and doctor-patient interaction. Since 2007, Beijing has started training family health workers. Up to now, there are more than 200,000 trained family health workers

Through demonstrations such as knowledge contests and style show, this activity aims to show the achievements of Beijing in the development of “family health workers” in the past 11 years, highlighting their spiritual outlook and good social image indicating that they are responsible for personal health, family health and also the social health. It created a good atmosphere for the citizens to care for and support family health workers, further popularized healthy lifestyles, and gradually formed a social atmosphere of building, sharing and advocating health. In the activity, the family health workers participated in the on-site knowledge contest, style show, and were scored by expert judges and mass judges. Yanqing District won the first prize of the knowledge contest, and the “family health worker by your side” style show in Miyun District won the first prize. In the next step, the city will continue to steadily promote the training of family health workers, and do a good job of the government's concern and the people's profit.
