Beijing and Hunan Signed the 2018-2021 Cooperation Framework Agreement on Health Care

On June 1st, 2018, the exchange activity on the 2018-2021 Cooperation Framework Agreement on Health Care of Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning and the Health and Family Planning Commission of Hunan Province was held in Beijing. Both sides will rely on cooperation mechanisms such as personnel training, professional exchanges, and specialized department collaboration to jointly promote the improvement of medical and health service capabilities in the two places and achieve common building and sharing. Vice Mayor Lu Yan of Beijing Municipality and Vice Governor Wu Guiying of Hunan Province attended the signing event and delivered speeches.

In the signing and exchange activities, Lei Haichao, director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning, introduced the medical and health resources and the reform of the medical and health system in Beijing. Chen Xiaochun, director of the Health and Family Planning Commission of Hunan Province, introduced the local medical and health care development and related work demand. Liu Jiang from Beijing Blood Center Director and President of Hunan Provincial People's Hospital Zhu Yimin made speeches on behalf of the medical and health institutions of the two sides.

Wu Guiying, deputy governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, said that the medical and health cooperation between Beijing and Hunan is a concrete action by the two governments to earnestly practice the important thinking of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the health work in the new era. At present, Hunan's health industry has made great progress, but it also needs to cooperate with Beijing in order to complement each other's advantages, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and continuously promote the ability of medical and health services in the two places.

Lu Yan, deputy mayor of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, emphasized that after the signing of the medical and health cooperation agreement between the two places, efforts should be made to implement plans, build mechanisms and strive for actual results. The relevant medical and health units must communicate as soon as possible to promote the implementation of the cooperation. It is necessary to do a detailed job in personnel training, scientific research cooperation, and technical exchange. Beijing medical and health experts must help the people of Hunan to cultivate more professional and technical backbones, take effective measures to solve existing problems, and ensure the smooth realization of goals on medical and health cooperation.

Relevant leaders of the Beijing and Hunan Province, leaders of health and family planning administrative departments, and principals of medical and health units attended the signing activities.
