Gathering Strength and Seeking Consensus to Do a Good Job in Petitions, Complaints and Disputes Management in Beijing

On March 13th, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning held a work conference on petitions, complaints and disputes management of 2018. Liang Chunqi, head of the first division of the general office of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, and Gao Xiaojun, deputy inspector of the Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning and party secretary of the institutions attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

The meeting summarized the work in 2017 on petitions, complaints and disputes management and fully deployed the work of 2018. At the conference, a special deployment of the medical and social research work of grade three hospitals in the city and the construction of the petition information system of the Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning were conducted. The advanced institutions for petitions, complaints and disputes management, the most meticulous petition officials and excellent petition officials were commended. At the conference, the related units also signed the letter of responsibilities for the petition work of 2018 with the Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning.

Liang Chunqi fully affirmed the achievements of the Commission’s petition work. He also put forward specific requirements for work from three aspects of attaching importance to source prevention, strengthening the resolution of disputes settlement in medical institutions, and strengthening key assistance.

Gao Xiaojun put forward three opinions on how to do a good job in petitions, complaints and disputes management in the health and family planning system in 2018. First, all the institutions in the system should clearly understand the situation and enhance their sense of responsibility and mission of doing a good job in petitions, complaints and disputes management. Second, it is necessary to highlight key points and promote the scientific and professionalization of petitions, complaints and disputes management work. The third is to open up their mind to new ideas and enhance the forward-looking and innovative nature of petitions, complaints and disputes management.

Heads in charge of petitions, complaints and disputes management and chiefs of relevant departments of health and family planning commissions of all districts, the grade three hospitals, directly affiliated institutions, chiefs of petition work of the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Beijing Municipal Administration of Hospitals, and the responsible person for the petition work of the departments of the commission, amounting 200 persons, attended the meeting.
