On the evening of the 26th, Beijing 120 treated a near-drowning man. The weather is getting warmer, and people are doing more exercise and fitness. Moderate exercise is good for keeping your body healthy but it is not necessary to rush to make progress and do excessive exercise.  You should stop exercising and ask for medical assistance as soon as possible when you are uncomfortable.
People always take wrong first aid measures for drowning, such as putting people upside down to pour out the water, pressing the stomach hard to squeeze the water out or pinching the philtrum.
There are some first aid measures for drowning. First, you should distinguish if the person is conscious. If the person is conscious and breathing, it is advised to dial 120 and wait for treatment. If the drowning person is breathing with no consciousness, you should clean up the things from the person’s nose and mouth after calling 120. If you are sure that the patient has no spinal injury, it is suggested to help the patient turn to the lateral position to prevent suffocation. If the drowning person has lost breath and consciousness, you should call 120 and immediately begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
There are the steps of cardiopulmonary resuscitation for drowning. First, it is advised to remove foreign objects in the nose and mouth and keep the airway open. If the drowning person stops breathing, artificial respiration should be done immediately. If the drowning person loses heartbeat, chest compression should be done. The cardiopulmonary resuscitation sequence for drowning person should be A (Airway Open Respiratory) - B (Breathing Respiratory) - C (Compressions Press).
