Child fall injuries accounts for half of accidental injuries. Among them, falling from the bed is the most common, accounting for 29.81%. In addition, children may fall from tables and chairs, stairs, motor vehicles and even parents’ arms. Falling mainly causes brain damage in children.

When fall from lower part indoor, if the children have the following symptoms, you should seek medical treatment immediately: 1. There is a wound on the head and active bleeding on the wound that need to be treated. Tetanus antitoxin and further examination are required. 2. The child starts vomiting and frequently retching. 3. The child keeps crying for a long time and looks painful, complaining of headaches. The child shows abnormal performance, such as quietness, poor spirit or cannot wake up by stimulation. Quietness indicates dangerous situation of the child. 4. Children shows convulsions. 5. The child injuring posterior occipital area is recommended to go to the hospital for examination, because the trauma of the occiput is more dangerous than it of the forehead. 6. There is a large hematoma in the scalp, which does not disappear for a long time and even gradually increases.

When the child falls from a heigh place, parents need to simply judge the child's state of consciousness. If the child has a coma and cannot wake up by calling, it is necessary to assess the child's vital signs, such asbreath and heartbeat. If the child stops breathing or shows cardiac arrest, parents should conduct immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation and call 120 at the same time. If there is bleeding in the wound, it can be temporarily bandaged and pressurized to stop bleeding.
