On the morning of March 13, the Municipal Health Commission organized a meeting on production safety and public security for the Beijing health system to convey and study the spirit of the 20th plenary meeting of the Municipal Emergency Management Committee and the plenary meeting of the Municipal Safety Production Committee. The safety production warning educational film, "Responsibility for Safety Production", was played at the meeting. The problems and weak links discovered during recent safety production inspections were informed. Zhong Dongbo, Director of the Security Production Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of the commission, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Liu Juncai, Director of the Security Production Committee and Director of the commission, presided over the meeting and put forward work requirements.

It was emphasized at the meeting that the entire system should thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on work safety and the spirit of the plenary meetings of the Municipal Emergency Management Committee and Municipal Safety Production Committee, keep in mind the painful lessons, fully understand the importance of safety production work, and further set work goals and implement the relevant work well. It is necessary to fully recognize the urgency of deepening safety production work, identify hidden dangers and risks more clearly, rectify problems more thoroughly, and carry out stricter supervision and management. Focusing on industry development, it is necessary to fully understand the necessity of careful production safety work, and resolutely prevent and contain major production safety accidents, to ensure the safety of people's lives and property, and effectively maintain the safety and stability of the health system.

It was required at the meeting that the entire system should "understand" the safety and stability work, further improve the understanding of the importance of safety management in business management, and proactively and resolutely take the responsibility for safety production and fire safety. It is necessary to take "effective actions" on safety and stability work, to further rectify various illegal activities, strictly abide by laws, regulations and standards, work with and cooperate with relevant professional departments to investigate and deal with various illegal activities in accordance with the law, and rectify hidden problems. It is necessary to be "responsible" for the safety and stability work, and further transmit the responsibility for production safety and fire safety to all levels, including the primary offices, divisions, departments, and stations. A sound production safety responsibility system for all employees shall be established to ensure that every employee pays attention to safety and knows how to respond to emergencies.
