The Beijing Municipal Health Commission organized a meeting on production safety and public security in the Beijing health system to convey and study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on production safety, and to implement the requirements of the national and city-wide video and telephone conference on production safety and the national medical emergency work conference, and report the problems and weaknesses discovered during the recent organized safety production inspections. Zhong Dongbo, Secretary of the Party Committee, analyzed the causes in 8 aspects and clarified key tasks in 5 aspects based on the problems and weak links discovered in recent supervision and inspections. The meeting was chaired by Liu Juncai, director of the commission.
A profound reflection on the weak links of production safety and public security in 2023 was conducted at the meeting. The hidden problems discovered in recent safety production inspections were displayed. The Beijing Chest Hospital, which did not fulfill its main responsibility for safety production, conducted an in-depth inspection. The Beijing Hospital Authority conducted a reflection speech due to insufficient daily review of supervision and guidance.
Several requirements were put forward at the meeting, including comprehensively strengthening fire safety, comprehensively controlling construction risks, comprehensively strengthening the management of crowded places, comprehensively managing hospital safety order and protecting medical personnel, and comprehensively improving the safety production management capabilities of the industry. The safety production responsibilities of all departments at all levels in the health system of Beijing have been clarified.
In view of the special period of Spring Festival holiday and the "NPC and CPPCC", as well as the low temperature, rain and snow and freezing weather factors of winter and spring seasons, it was required to strengthen inspections and on-site monitoring of key places, clean up combustible and flammable materials, and do a good job in publicity and management of the ban on fireworks and firecrackers in each unit. It is necessary to ensure the good condition and effectiveness of fire protection facilities and equipment, make strict duty preparations during the Spring Festival, and improve emergency response capabilities.
