In 2023, the Municipal Health Commission led more than 100 groups and organize more than 30,000 volunteers. Focusing on the decisions and arrangements of the municipal party committee and the municipal government and the work of the Beijing Health Center, giving full play to its professional advantages, the commission carried out more than a thousand projects to contribute to the high-quality development of the health cause of the capital.

This year

We initiated the establishment of the Capital Team of Health Volunteer Service and recruited outstanding young talents such as the owners of "May 4th Medal", "Capital Health Youth Model" and "Future Star" to join, further leveraging the overall advantages of the health industry to serve people's health. In October, the Capital Team of Health Volunteer Service went to Huangyuansi Village, Zhoukoudian Town, Fangshan District to carry out the learning, education, and practice activities on "Youth Health Tour, Making Contributions to Rural Revitalization in the New Era", providing free clinics and health consultations to more than 100 villagers, and providing the children at the Zhoukoudian Town Central Primary School with science education and health examinations.

This year

We have launched the "Capital Health System Learns from Lei Feng in Action" volunteer service and care action throughout the system. Hospitals at all levels have organized more than 6,300 volunteers to carry out a variety of volunteer services such as free health clinics, medical guidance, science education, psychological care, community check-in, etc., serving a total of more than 360,000 people.

This year

More than 7,000 blood donation volunteers in the capital insisted on using their spare time to carefully explain to blood donors the precautions before and after blood donation. The volunteers also actively participated in unpaid blood donation. On the occasion of the 20th "World Blood Donor Day", we successfully held the voluntary blood donation promotion event (Beijing branch) on the World Blood Donor Day 2023 of the National Health Commission, presenting awards to advanced individuals and units in voluntary blood donation. More than 20 young students from Tsinghua University participated in blood donation on-site and launched a voluntary blood donation initiative to young people and the citizens in Beijing.

This year

The "Youth Red Ribbon" volunteer service project for AIDS prevention and control has served a total of 6,184.5 hours. Young medical volunteers and university volunteers have persisted in carrying out in-depth health knowledge publicity, consultation and other activities on AIDS prevention and control. The 2023 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei College Student Debate Competition on AIDS Prevention and Control was held to encourage college students to proactively learn knowledge and master skills on AIDS prevention. Beijing Ditan Hospital held events on UNAIDS United Nations visiting the community. The goodwill ambassadors Huang Xiaoming, Zhang Tianai, and Xiong Hao jointly spoke out for AIDS prevention and worked with volunteers to promote health science knowledge on rapid testing and prevention.

This year

The "Guardian Angel" volunteer service post continued to serve patients and provide health education through volunteer services such as outpatient guidance, patient companionship, spiritual comfort. Beijing Chaoyang Hospital launched the Bright Angel volunteer service project. At the ophthalmology department of Chaoyang Hospital, young volunteers from the folk music club of the blind school helped relieve nervous and anxious emotions of the patients in the outpatient clinic through musical performances by erhu, pipa, and cucurbit flute.
