On the afternoon of December 14, 2022, the High-level Seminar on Health Cooperation of the 25th Beijing-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium was successfully held. The seminar was held simultaneously in Hong Kong and Beijing via video platform. Gao Jian, Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Health Commission, Lin Wenjian, Director of Health of the HKSAR Government, attended the meeting and delivered opening speeches. Chairman Fan Hung-ling and Chief Executive Officer Ko Pat-sing of the Hospital Authority of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Bi Wenhan, Director of the Hong Kong Office of the National Health Commission, Wang Xiaoe, President of the Beijing Municipal Committee on Ageing, Second-level Inspector Zheng Jinpu of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, Xie Xianghui, Deputy Director of the Beijing Hospitals Authority and other leaders attended the meeting.

With the theme of "Building a Community of Human Health for Beijing-Hong Kong Joint Development", the keynote forums, thematic seminars, interactive exchanges and other sessions were set up at the conference, and in-depth discussions were carried out on the cooperation on the normalization of epidemic and infectious diseases prevention and control, smart medical development and service model innovation, elderly health practice model, new outlook on life in the new era, opportunities and challenges in the process of international standardization of traditional Chinese medicine and other topics. A total of more than 70 people, including heads of health administrative departments and relevant experts from Beijing and Hong Kong, attended the meeting offline, and more than 1,500 people participated online.

At the seminar, Chairman Mr. Fan Hung-ling and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ko Pat-sing of the Hospital Authority of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, delivered exchange speeches respectively. A number of experts and scholars exchanged views on vaccination strategies, smart medical cooperation and service model innovation and development, elderly health services, development and deepening cooperation of traditional Chinese medicine.

Since 2008, the special activities on health cooperation of the Beijing-Hong Kong Symposium have been successfully held for 14 sessions, promoting the exciting results in the cooperation between Beijing and Hong Kong in the fields of infectious disease prevention and control, health promotion, community health services, smart medical care and other fields. It has become a bridge and important carrier for the health field of Beijing and Hong Kong to gather wisdom, cultivate talents, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
