Sponsored by the Emergency Office of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission and undertaken by the Municipal Public Health Emergency Management Center, from August 29th to September 2nd, the 2022 Senior Seminar for Health Emergency Management Cadres in Beijing, advanced pre-hospital medical emergency seminars and training courses for the health emergency teams in Beijing were held continuously at the Party School of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission. The leaders in charge of emergency and pre-hospital medical emergency work from the health commissions of all districts in the city, Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing Hospitals Authority, the municipal public health institutions and related medical agencies participated in the trainings.
Li Ang, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, attended the series of training courses and gave a mobilization speech. He pointed out that since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, the public health emergency management system in Beijing has gone through major tests for several times, responding to many clustered epidemics in the city successfully. The comprehensive health emergency forces in Beijing such as disease control, supervision, medical care, and first aid have also provided guarantee for major state affairs and activities such as the centenary of the founding of the CPC and the Winter Olympics. It is hoped that all the trainees will take this training as an opportunity to learn and exchange, and improve the comprehensive capacity of the public health emergency response in an all-around way.
Experts from the National Health Commission, the Emergency Management Training Center of the Central Party School, the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, etc. were invited to the seminar. Comprehensive and multi-angle systematic training was conducted on health emergency work, covering the theory of emergency management and risk governance, typical case analysis, media response to emergencies, public safety emergency technology and applications, national and advanced provincial and municipal experience, health emergency drills, etc.
The training courses were held in the context of the convening of the "20th National Congress" of the Communist Party of China. The training was close to the actual needs of health emergency work, and helped to comprehensively improve the construction and development level of the public health emergency response system and strive to create a new situation in the health emergency response work in Beijing.
