On the afternoon of April 22, Beijing national medical assisting team for Changchun, Jilin in nucleic acid testing completed the assistance mission, and returned to Beijing on an Air China chartered flight. A welcome ceremony at the Capital Airport was held and Comrade Lu Yan, Deputy Mayor of Beijing, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

On March 30, in accordance with the work deployment of the medical treatment team of joint prevention and control mechanism of the State Council, the Beijing national medical assisting team for Changchun, consisting of 72 members from three hospitals including Peking Union Medical College Hospital, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, and Peking University Third Hospital, went to Changchun, Jilin. After arriving in Changchun, the medical team quickly started work, and completed a total of 196,212 single tubes of nucleic acid testing, and 154 tubes were tested positive, which improved the local nucleic acid testing capability and strongly supported the local epidemic prevention and control work. With the close coordination of all parties, Changchun, Jilin has recently achieved a social cleanup of positive cases. According to the work arrangement, the national medical team returned to Beijing for rest.

Lu Yan, on behalf of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Beijing Municipal People's Government, welcomed the triumphant return of the medical team members, expressed sincere greetings and high respect to them and their families. He asked the relevant departments of Beijing to care for the medical team members and ensure their living services. It is hoped that the medical team members will sum up their experience in fighting the epidemic in Changchun, Jilin while resting, and return to work in good condition, so as to make greater contributions to safeguarding the health of the people.
