Municipal Health Commission Held Deployment Meeting and Training Class for Plague Prevention and Control

On September 27, the Municipal Health Commission held a deployment meeting and training class on plague prevention and control. Li Ang, member of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Municipal Health Commission, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

At the meeting, the recent work spirit of the National Health Commission on plague prevention and control was conveyed, and the progress of relevant work in Beijing was reported. The attendees analyzed the handling of imported plague cases in Beijing in recent years, and assessed the risk of plague epidemics in Beijing and surrounding areas.

In his speech, Li Ang pointed out that the plague is a Class A infectious disease with a strong spread risk. It has a huge impact on economic and social development and people's lives and health. While doing a good job in the normalization of the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, the same work of the plague should not be relaxed.

After the meeting, the relevant responsible staff of the district health commissions and the municipal and district CDC participated in a half-day training course on plague prevention and control.
