On June 21, Lu Yan, director of the Office of the Leading Group for Epidemic Prevention and Control, head of the medical treatment guarantee group, and the deputy mayor, chaired the interview for the fourth time. Based on the problems found by the medical supervision team, such as violations of the "Law on Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases" and the problems in the prevention and control of nosocomial infection, Lu Yan interviewed persons responsible for Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, Fengtai Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital, Fangshan First Hospital, Huairou District Second Hospital, governmental heads of Xicheng District, Fengtai District, Fangshan District, and Huairou District, as well as the persons in charge of the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Beijing Hospital Authority. An Xuejun, deputy director of the Municipal Health Commission, first notified the existing problems of the above four hospitals and proposed rectification requirements.
Lei Haichao, deputy head of the medical treatment guarantee group, secretary of the Party committee and director of the Municipal Health Commission, pointed out that the prevention and control of nosocomial infection should be placed at the same important position as the prevention and control of epidemics. The nosocomial infection prevention and control should be implemented at the four levels of hospitals, departments, teams, and individuals from level to level. All districts should focus on rectification and implementation, and promote the nosocomial infection prevention and control in every hospital.
