That project can make sure they master the relating reproductive health knowledge and can improve self-health care which helps avoid these people who are not suitable foe marriage or get hereditary disease get married and procreate. I suggest all men and women should accept the pre-marriage health checking 3 months before your marriage.

　　In 2013, we increased some diagnosing item that adjusting Hepatitis B surface antigen detection to Five hepatitis B test which helps confirm hepatitis B, changing chest X-ray to chest radiography which can reduce radiation, adding free AIDS testing which can help find HIV sufferers and virus carrier and add vaginal examination project to find gynecological disease. 　　The Emcee: What is the situation of pre-marital care?

　　Director Gao: Since the implementation of Law of the Peoples Republic of China on Maternal and Infant Health Care, our testing rate kept increasing every year and reached 100% in 2003. With the implementation of the New Act on Marriage Registration in 2003, it turned sharply decrease. Although we provided free service, the testing rate was 10% in 2003.

　　What worries me a lot it that the rate of diseases increased in the people accepting checking saying 5% in 1996 to 12% in 2003. Among these, some diseases increased sharply like hereditary and congenital diseases such as lip/cleft palate, congenital heart defects, mental retardation and mental disorders, such as epilepsy and disorders of the male reproductive system, such as testicular, varicocele, disorders of the female reproductive system, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, and genital Neoplasms.

　　It is worth noting that the sexually transmitted diseases checking rate increasing sharply, which is not in agreement with the real incidence rate among common persons. Take syphilis for example, its testing rate decreased during marriage health-check, but its rate increased sharply during pregnant, which leaves bad influence on yourself, your spouse and your children’s health.
